The mom of IBF tremendous middleweight champion Caleb Plant was killed early Saturday morning in an officer-involved taking pictures.
Beth Plant, 51, was shot and killed by police in Cheatham County, Tennessee, after officers have been referred to as to help a state of affairs involving Plant and an ambulance.
An ambulance had been referred to as for Plant, who grew to become “combative,” in response to a police report, and produced a knife from her backpack. The ambulance’s driver pulled over and referred to as police for help. Once they arrived Plant was outdoors the ambulance and brandishing the weapon towards an officer, who shot her. Plant was taken to a Nashville hospital the place she died.
Caleb Plant’s publicist, Mario Serrano, confirmed to ESPN’s Steve Kim that Beth Plant was Caleb’s mom.
Plant, 26, not too long ago received the IBF title by defeating Jose Uzcategui over 12 rounds on Jan. 13 in Los Angeles.
