NEW YORK (AP) — The clothes model Coogi has launched a full-court press towards the Brooklyn Nets over a Infamous B.I.G.-inspired jersey.
The New York Instances says a particular model of the crew’s jersey is on the middle of a copyright lawsuit towards the Nets, the Nationwide Basketball Affiliation and Nike.
Coogi is closely related to the late rapper, whose actual identify was Christopher Wallace. He referenced Coogi in a few of his songs, together with the hit “Hypnotize.”
The corporate says a multicolored stripe sample known as “Brooklyn Camo” on the Nike-manufactured “Metropolis Version” jersey copies its designs.
The lawsuit says the quantity of the alleged damages could be “established at trial.”
NBA spokesman Mike Bass says the lawsuit has “no advantage in anyway.”
The Nets and Nike declined to remark.
